Maria Friedman performs a wide selection from her new releases at the CAFE CARLYLE, 35 East 76th Street, New York. Performances are Tuesday through Saturday at 8:45 PM and additional shows shows on Fridays & Saturdays at 10:45 PM. You have to pay a $75 cover charge. Ms. Friedman is an accomplished screen actress, and an award-winning singer. She received three "Olivier Awards", "Best Entertainment Award" and "Best Actress in a Musical" for "Passion", and "Ragtime". This is a must see show.

Don't miss Ms. Hall's shows. She is absolutely terrific. She will be performing with her trio composed of Glafkos Kontemeniotis on piano, Frank Wagner on bass, and Kazi McCoy on drums.

Her Song, A Musical Revue, celebrates the work of such master songwriters as Billie Holliday, Carole King, Peggy Lee, Marilyn Bergman, Donna Summer, Edith Piaf, Dorothy Fields and Carly Simon, in a dazzling evening of music. Produced by Barbara M. Fisher, Ed and Dot Slade and Michael Tanchum. Performances for the open run are Saturday and Sunday at 5:30 p.m. Tickets for the 90-minute show are $30.00 per person (+$10 food/drink minimum). Four amazing young vocalists, Trisha Rapier, Kelly McCormick, Kate Manning, and Cicily Daniels, under the musical direction of Barry Levitt, reinterpret these titles and more for today’s audiences. JIM CARUSO'S "CAST PARTY", with pianist Billy Stritch Mondays May 15,22,29; June 5,12,19,26 - 10PM until 1AM, at Birdland. $10 minimum. Broadway impresario Jim Caruso hosts a combination open-mic, networking event and party in which the biggest stars on Broadway relax on their night off by performing their favorite songs in an informal setting. Performers are accompanied by Billy Stritch, the pianist best known as the musical director for Liza Minnelli and Charles Aznavour.
"JULE STYNE IN HOLLYWOOD", Monday, May 22 - show time 7PM at Birdland.Music Charge: $30. This concert will celebrate the PS Classics recording of standards and forgotten gems from Styne's illustrious film catalog, including his 10 Academy Award-nominated songs. Performers will include "Woman In White" star Maria Friedman, "On Golden Pond" star Leslie Uggams, "Dessa Rose" star Norm Lewis, as well as cabaret performers Jeff Harnar, Eric Comstock, The Lascivious Biddies, Johnny Rodgers, Klea Blackhurst, and Sara Zahn (cast subject to change).
